West Africa has huge opportunities for renewable energy production. Solar, wind and green hydrogen can make Ghana's energy system more sustainable and strengthen the local economy by reducing dependence on expensive fossil fuels. We at Impact Hydrogen have taken the initiative to organise an ecosystem for green hydrogen, initially aiming at domestic use and in the long term for export.
The Green Hydrogen Valley Ghana project aims to build one of the first West African Hydrogen Valleys in the world, setting the standards for the most efficient, profitable, and sustainable hydrogen economies. We are building a partnership with companies working in solar and wind energy, hydrogen and ammonia production, water management, distribution, storage, as well as usage in industry, mobility and fertilisers.
